Bio

My name is Jason van Domburg, also known as Aphelium. I graduated from Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam in 2011. During my time at this school I found out that drawing and painting weren't my only passions. Trips to different stores and design bureaus expanded my vision and made me aware of all the things that were possible.

In january 2010 I started my 1 year internship at Refunc, a company that uses garbage as their main materials (IBC-tanks, old bikes, car tires, closets, benches, etc.) and who refer to themselves as "garbage-architects". This showed me how you could blow entire new life into old 'useless' objects. In combination with tons of new assembling techniques, it opened a whole new world to me.

With all these new experiences and my own personal view, I created my own style. A young fresh look but with a raw and edgy feel.
